Referred to the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, and in addition to the Committees on Armed Services, and the Budget, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
American Innovation Act
This bill provides permanent funding for
the National Science Foundation, the Office of Science at the Department of Energy, the Department of Defense science and technology programs, the scientific and technical research and services of the National Institute of Standards and Technology at the Department of Commerce, and the Science Mission Directorate at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The bill exempts such funding from being sequestered under the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act.
