To ensure that mental and behavioral health education and training grants awarded under section 756(a)(4) of the Public Health Service Act may be used for training to increase skills and capacity to meet the needs of children and adolescents who have experienced trauma.

Helping Kids Through Trauma Act
This bill expressly permits state-licensed mental health organizations that receive grants for preservice or in-service training in a behavioral health-related paraprofessional field to use the grants for training on meeting the needs of children and adolescents who have experienced trauma.
