This resolution would block a proposed military sale to Israel of up to 50 F-15IA fighter jets along with associated engines, radar systems, missiles, navigation equipment, and related support services. Senator Sanders introduced the measure in September 2024 to prevent the $20.76 billion arms sale that had been submitted to Congress under the Arms Export Control Act. The sale also includes spare parts, training, maintenance support, and other logistical assistance needed to operate and maintain the aircraft. If approved, the resolution would prohibit the entire proposed sale from moving forward. The measure was referred to the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations for consideration.
