The resolution calls for continued funding and prioritization of Food for Peace programs, emphasizing that the initiative not only addresses humanitarian needs but also creates markets for U.S. products, reduces poverty, and supports American foreign policy interests globally. The resolution notes that studies show every dollar invested in community resilience saves seven dollars in future emergency aid costs.
