These visits would be conducted by qualified healthcare professionals up to once every two years and would assess a patient's home environment, identify health risks, and provide recommendations for home modifications or interventions to improve balance, strength, mobility, reduce fall risks, and enhance nutrition. Medicare would cover 100 percent of the cost of these visits, which can be delivered in-person, remotely, or through a combination of both methods. The bill directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to establish a bundled payment rate for these visits, including any referrals made during the visit. The legislation was introduced by Senators King and Casey and referred to the Senate Committee on Finance.
