States and communities receiving these broadband grants will be notified of any adjustments to their funding amounts before they can access the final disbursement of grant money. This ensures that broadband funding reaches the areas with the greatest need based on the most current data available, preventing money from going to areas that already have adequate broadband coverage while potentially underserving areas that still lack it.
