Summary

Highlight any text to annotate
This bill requires the federal government to establish a task force to research health conditions affecting children and other descendants of military veterans who were exposed to toxic substances during their service. The research will focus on understanding how to diagnose and treat these inherited health problems and will be led by the existing Interagency Working Group on Toxic Exposure, working with the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry. The bill requires the task force to create a website sharing their research findings and evidence about links between toxic exposures and descendant health conditions. The Working Group must submit an initial comprehensive report within two years of the law's enactment, followed by annual updates for at least five years, along with recommendations for any needed legislative or administrative changes to improve research efforts.
