The briefings must address curriculum development status, any resource constraints or challenges facing these initiatives, and the Pentagon's efforts to identify industry standards for authenticating digital content. The bill does not authorize any new funding but requires existing Defense Department resources to support these reporting requirements and the underlying authentication and education programs. This legislation aims to help the military address deepfakes and false information in an increasingly digital information environment.
