The bill also requires the CDC to conduct a study on surveillance systems for tracking blood clots and to publish best practices for healthcare providers. The legislation authorizes $20 million annually from 2025 through 2029 to fund these initiatives, and requires the advisory committee to submit its recommendations to Congress within 18 months of its first meeting.
