The WARM Act of 2023 directs the Department of Health and Human Services to launch a national public awareness campaign about menopause, its symptoms, related chronic conditions, and treatment options. The campaign will be carried out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in consultation with numerous federal health agencies and nonprofit organizations, and will include culturally tailored educational materials, media outreach, and resources for health care providers and underserved communities. The bill also establishes two new grant programs: one providing up to $31.7 million between fiscal years 2025 and 2028 to train health care providers like doctors, nurses, and pharmacists in menopause management, and another supporting regional centers of excellence in menopause education. The public awareness campaign is allocated up to $70 million for the same period, with the Secretary required to report to Congress by the end of 2025 on the awareness program's progress and activities.
