Referred to the House Committee on House Administration.
The Presidential Ballot Integrity Act would change federal election law to reject electoral votes from any state that fails to include a major party presidential candidate on its general election ballot. The bill amends the Electoral Count Act of 1887 to add this requirement, defining "major political party" using the same definition found in federal tax law. This legislation would directly affect states and their election administration, as well as Congress during the electoral vote certification process. The bill includes no specified funding amounts or implementation timelines. The measure was introduced in December 2023 by a group of House Republicans and referred to the Committee on House Administration.
