To direct the Comptroller General of the United States to evaluate and report on the inpatient and outpatient treatment capacity, availability, and needs of the United States.
Examining Opioid Treatment Infrastructure Act of 2024
This bill requires the Government Accountability Office to report on the availability of and unmet need for substance use disorder treatment and recovery services, including for specific demographic populations (e.g., pregnant women). The report must also address barriers to real-time reporting of drug overdoses at the federal, state, and local levels.
