The No More Narcos Act directs federal agencies to launch an educational campaign and develop a national strategy to prevent minors from being recruited by drug cartels and transnational criminal organizations. The campaign will target middle and high school students living within 100 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border, educating them about the dangers and risks of working with cartels for smuggling or trafficking activities. The Attorney General and Drug Enforcement Administration, in coordination with the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Education, and other relevant agencies, must establish and implement this campaign within one year of the law's enactment. The bill also authorizes funding for these efforts through the Department of Justice Assets Forfeiture Fund, which receives money from seized criminal assets. This legislation focuses on prevention and awareness rather than enforcement, aiming to keep vulnerable young people in border communities away from criminal organizations.
