The program authorizes $600 million annually for fiscal years 2025 through 2034, with grant recipients required to match federal funds with their own resources at a minimum 50 percent rate. The Secretary of Health and Human Services must report to Congress every five years on how the grants have improved pediatric healthcare infrastructure and access to care.
