This bill extends the authorization periods for four separate laws that allow the U.S. government to impose sanctions and trade restrictions related to human rights concerns in Hong Kong, Tibet, and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Specifically, it doubles the expiration dates from five years to ten years for the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act, extends a ban on munitions exports to Hong Kong's police force until December 31, 2029, and extends both the Reciprocal Access to Tibet Act and the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act by ten years.
