This bill directs the Interior Department to sell approximately 3,400 acres of federal land managed by the Bureau of Land Management in La Paz County, Arizona to the county government. The land would be conveyed at fair market value as determined by professional appraisals, with La Paz County responsible for paying both the appraised value and all costs associated with the transfer, including surveys and administrative expenses. The bill is designed to facilitate solar energy development and job creation in the county, though it includes protections requiring the county to avoid disturbing Native American artifacts, coordinate with the Colorado River Indian Tribes, and allow tribal representatives to rebury any artifacts that are discovered. The Interior Secretary can exclude any lands containing significant cultural, environmental, wildlife, or recreational resources from the conveyance, and the land is withdrawn from future mining and mineral leasing. Revenue from the sale will be deposited into a federal land disposal account and used according to existing federal land transaction law.
