The assessments will be coordinated with DHS offices overseeing civil rights and privacy protections to ensure compliance with applicable laws, and an unclassified version will be made publicly available on the DHS website alongside an optional classified annex. Within 30 days of each assessment submission, the Under Secretary must brief relevant House and Senate committees on the findings, with other federal agencies joining if the committees request it. The bill does not specify dedicated funding and instead directs DHS to use existing resources and products to inform the threat evaluations.
