This bill requires the Director of National Intelligence to declassify and publicly release information about security threats posed by unmanned aircraft systems (drones) made by Chinese companies or entities controlled by the Chinese government within 90 days of the bill's enactment. The declassification must include all federal security assessments, tests, audits, and studies conducted before May 31, 2024, along with descriptions of actions taken based on those findings. The Director must submit an unclassified report to Congress and publish the information on a public website, unless doing so would harm national security or reveal intelligence sources and methods. Additionally, within 120 days the Director of National Intelligence and Secretary of Homeland Security must jointly brief Congress on the declassified information. The bill affects drone manufacturers and importers from China and aims to provide Congress and the public with transparency about potential security risks from Chinese-made drones.
