The Steering Group's responsibilities include overseeing implementation of fentanyl-fighting policies across agencies, setting strategic disruption goals, identifying resource gaps, and monitoring existing task forces and initiatives to eliminate duplication. Within 60 days of enactment and annually thereafter, participating agencies must report their fentanyl-related initiatives to the group, and the Steering Group must submit annual reports to Congress describing public-private partnership strategies for combating fentanyl trafficking.
