This bill would provide $15 billion in emergency funding to help communities recover from Hurricane Helene. Of that amount, $10 billion would go to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to provide disaster relief assistance, while $5 billion would go to the Department of Housing and Urban Development to help with housing and community development needs in affected areas. The funds would be drawn from the general Treasury and made available immediately to support recovery efforts.
