The fees collected will be deposited into a special Treasury account and used to fund the program's staff, training, system upgrades, and fraud detection efforts. Beginning in 2028, the fee will increase annually based on inflation. The legislation includes safeguards to ensure that the new expedited program does not slow down standard processing for employers who do not pay the premium fee.
