By March 2027, the bill mandates that at least 10 percent of all southbound vehicles and conveyances be inspected before leaving the United States, with plans to increase that rate to 15-20 percent by 2028. The bill also requires multiple progress reports to Congress over the next four years detailing seizures, inspection rates, and resource needs, and most equipment authorizations sunset after five years.
