This bill requires the Comptroller General to conduct a comprehensive security audit of Social Security Administration computer systems, specifically examining any access or modifications made by the U.S. DOGE Service and affiliated personnel. The audit will investigate whether these agencies introduced security vulnerabilities, software bugs, or violated federal privacy laws including the Privacy Act and the Federal Information Security Management Act. The Comptroller General must complete the audit and submit findings to Congress and the Social Security Administration within one year of the bill's enactment. Within 90 days of receiving the audit report, the Social Security Administration commissioner must fix any identified vulnerabilities and report back to Congress on the remediation efforts. The bill essentially creates a mechanism to ensure that Social Security systems and seniors' personal data remain protected from unauthorized access or compromise.
