The Taiwan Travel and Tourism Coordination Act directs the U.S. Commerce Department to work with Taiwan's authorities to expand travel and tourism cooperation between the two regions. The three departments must then submit annual reports to Congress for six years describing their cooperation efforts, challenges encountered, and progress made. The legislation emphasizes protecting sensitive U.S. economic and security interests while pursuing these tourism and travel initiatives.
