This bill authorizes the Department of Health and Human Services to fund research and grant programs aimed at improving the early detection and treatment of uterine fibroids, a common condition affecting women's reproductive health. The Secretary of HHS will conduct research to develop evidence-based strategies for early detection and can award grants to states to implement screening programs, patient navigation services, and public awareness campaigns. States receiving grants may use the funds for advanced imaging procedures, facilitating access to healthcare, and other interventions to help women identify and address uterine fibroids earlier. The bill also authorizes grants for research on related issues, including disparities in pain management during fibroid treatment and other intrauterine conditions. The Secretary must report to Congress every two years on program results and research findings, starting two years after the initial grants are awarded.
