This bill directs the Librarian of Congress to establish a national program supporting education about the Armenian Genocide and related crimes against humanity committed by the Ottoman Empire between 1915 and 1923. The program will develop and distribute educational resources, provide teacher training and professional development, work with schools and local education agencies to integrate genocide education into curricula, and maintain a public website with teaching materials and best practices. Schools and education groups that currently lack Armenian Genocide programs will receive priority for participation. The bill authorizes $2 million annually for five years (2026-2030) to fund these activities and allows the Library of Congress to accept private donations to supplement federal funding. An annual report to Congress will track the program's effectiveness and impact.
