The bill requires DHS to notify state officials, federal agencies, law enforcement partners, and Congress about the clearinghouse and mandates annual updates based on user feedback and new research, with reports to Congress every three years. The legislation also requires the Government Accountability Office to evaluate the current landscape of federal grants and resources devoted to safety and security for these organizations. The clearinghouse will sunset four years after enactment unless reauthorized by Congress.
