The bill also allows other federal agencies to transfer research funding to NASA for space exploration-related activities, and requires the agencies to coordinate through formal agreements and data-sharing arrangements. Within two years, DOE and NASA must report to Congress on their collaborative achievements and future opportunities, and within three years, NASA must provide detailed information about any funds transferred from other agencies and how these transfers have benefited interagency cooperation.
