The Valid Benefits Act requires federal agencies that distribute benefits to people age 105 and older to verify twice a year that these individuals still meet eligibility requirements for those benefits. The bill applies to all federal departments and agencies providing benefits such as Social Security, Medicare, veterans' benefits, and similar programs. Agencies are given authority to create regulations needed to carry out these eligibility checks. The requirement takes effect on December 31, 2025, and applies to all federal benefit payments made from that date forward.
