The Small Business Artificial Intelligence Training Act requires the Secretary of Commerce to develop training resources and toolkits to help small businesses understand and adopt artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies like quantum computing within one year of the bill's enactment. The resources will cover practical applications such as prompt engineering, cybersecurity, financial management, supply chain management, and government contracting, with special focus on reaching small businesses in rural, tribal, and underserved communities. The Commerce Department will distribute these materials through the Small Business Administration's network of resource centers and development programs, and may also fund grants to organizations that provide AI training to small businesses. The Commerce Secretary must review and update the training resources annually and report to Congress on how many businesses are using them and what measurable outcomes result, such as increases in revenue or employment. The program's authorities expire three years after the law is enacted.
