The Dialysis-Related Amyloidosis Treatment Act of 2025 expands Medicare coverage to include treatments for dialysis-related amyloidosis, a serious condition that develops in some long-term dialysis patients when proteins accumulate in body tissues. The bill requires Medicare to cover any FDA-approved treatments for this condition, along with related supplies and services, when furnished at dialysis facilities. Importantly, Medicare will pay 100 percent of reasonable charges for these treatments separately from standard dialysis payments, rather than bundling them into existing dialysis fees.
