The VET Act of 2025 establishes a new grant program through the Department of Labor to help military members preparing to leave service, veterans, and their spouses find jobs in the energy industry. Congress authorizes $60 million annually for the program from fiscal years 2026 through 2031, with no more than 15 percent spent on administration, and the Secretary of Labor must report on the program's success by September 2030 and coordinate with the Defense and Veterans Affairs departments to avoid duplicating existing transition assistance programs.
