This bill establishes the Endless Mountains National Heritage Area in northeastern Pennsylvania, encompassing Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, and Wyoming Counties, along with any other Pennsylvania county portions identified in a prior feasibility study. The designation makes the area part of the federal National Heritage Area System, which recognizes regions with significant cultural, historical, or natural resources. A local organization called Endless Mountains Heritage Region, Inc. will serve as the coordinating entity responsible for managing the heritage area and must submit a management plan to the Secretary of the Interior within three years of the bill's enactment. Federal assistance for the heritage area will be available for 15 years from enactment, after which the Secretary's authority to provide funding expires. The bill amends existing conservation law to add this Pennsylvania heritage area to the national system.
