The Iranian Campaign Medal Act would establish a new military service medal to honor members of the U.S. Armed Forces who served in operations related to the Iran-Israel War, including Operation Midnight Hammer (conducted on June 22, 2025). Eligible service members are those who served on active duty in designated areas of operation or performed other service as determined by military leadership. Each qualified service member would receive no more than one medal, which would include the medal itself along with ribbons, lapel pins, and related items. If a service member has passed away, the medal can be issued to their next of kin. The Secretaries of Defense and the military branches would develop uniform regulations governing how and when the medals are awarded.
