Those harmed can seek damages for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, wrongful death, and punitive damages, along with attorney's fees. The bill specifically bars manufacturers from using federal contractor immunity or claims of compliance with federal orders as legal defenses in these lawsuits. The legislation applies to both current and future cases, and it preserves all existing state and federal legal remedies that injured parties may already have.
