This bill expands educational opportunities for veterans by incorporating emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence and semiconductor manufacturing, into existing Veterans Affairs education programs. The legislation amends federal law to allow veterans to pursue education and training in high-technology and emerging technology fields through the VA's education benefits. The bill requires the VA Secretary, in partnership with private industry, educational institutions, and nonprofits, to identify which emerging technologies are most important and which jobs and training programs align with those technologies, then promote this information prominently on VA and Department of Defense websites and through transition services. The VA must work with the Labor Department to update quarterly which industries and occupations offer the most growth potential as technology and job markets evolve. This section establishing the partnership requirements will expire on September 30, 2027, unless Congress extends it.
