This bill directs the federal government to study the Mullica River watershed in New Jersey to determine whether it should be officially designated as a wild and scenic river. The study covers multiple river segments and tributaries across the watershed, including the main Mullica River, the Wading River, the Batsto River, and more than 20 smaller creeks and branches in the area. The Secretary of the Interior must complete the study and report findings to Congress within three years of receiving funding. If Congress later approves designation based on the study's results, the river segments would receive federal protection to preserve their scenic, recreational, or ecological values. The bill was introduced by Senators Kim and Booker of New Jersey.
