This bill directs the Secretary of State to impose strict travel restrictions on certain officials visiting the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. The restrictions apply to Iranian officials, officials associated with designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations, and officials from UN organizations that the United States does not belong to. Affected individuals would be confined to direct routes between airports (JFK, Newark, or Teterboro) and either the UN building, their hotel, or their UN representative office, with visas valid for only one day before and after UN General Assembly meetings. Officials from non-member UN organizations face broader restrictions, limited to a 25-mile radius around UN Headquarters and barred from visiting colleges and universities in that area. The bill includes exceptions when the direct route is inaccessible or presents security concerns, and explicitly excludes U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents from these restrictions.
