Additionally, Congress members can introduce joint resolutions within 180 days to rescind a witness's federal salary and expenses, with expedited procedures requiring committee review within 15 days and floor votes within 20 days. These debarments and salary rescissions would be subject to court review, and current federal employees removed under these provisions would be separated from the civil service.
