The BUILDS Act directs the Secretary of Labor to award grants to industry partnerships focused on training workers for infrastructure jobs in sectors like energy, construction, information technology, utilities, and transportation. The bill authorizes $500 million in funding for fiscal years 2026 through 2030, with the Labor Department retaining up to 10 percent for administration and technical assistance.
