This bill establishes a three-year pilot program starting October 1, 2026, to provide dental care to veterans living in rural and remote areas where access to Veterans Affairs dental clinics is limited. The Department of Veterans Affairs will deliver these services through mobile units, including specially equipped dental vans, modular clinics at community outreach events, and temporary dental facilities at health fairs. The program will prioritize locations more than 75 miles away from existing VA dental clinics and areas with high concentrations of veterans needing dental treatment. The pilot runs through September 30, 2029, with the VA required to submit annual progress reports to Congress detailing how many veterans were served, where services were provided, operational costs for each delivery method, and recommendations on whether to continue or expand the program permanently.
