Recipients can use these funds for planning, implementing evidence-based treatment models, responding to emerging public health threats, and technical assistance—but not for purchasing or improving real property. The program is authorized to receive $165 million annually from fiscal years 2026 through 2030, with individual grants lasting up to five years.
