The Nutrition Administration Assistance Act of 2026 provides $1 million per year for five years (2026-2030) to help states cover the administrative costs of running three federal food assistance programs: the Commodity Supplemental Food Program, the Emergency Food Assistance Program, and the Seniors Farmers' Market Nutrition Program. The funding will be distributed among these programs, with 70 percent going to support the Commodity Supplemental Food Program, 20 percent to the Emergency Food Assistance Program, and 10 percent to the Seniors Farmers' Market Nutrition Program. This money is intended as additional support on top of what states already receive, helping them pay for staff, equipment, and other expenses needed to administer these nutrition programs for low-income individuals and seniors. The bill was introduced in January 2026 and referred to the House Committee on Agriculture.
