It also directs the Attorney General to prioritize grant applications for gun violence reduction programs that include meaningful outreach to limited English proficient populations and requires translation of public documents when a language is spoken by at least 3 percent or 500 individuals in a service area. Additionally, the bill establishes national public awareness campaigns at both departments to educate limited English proficient communities about federally supported gun violence prevention strategies, with funding to be authorized as necessary and reported to Congress.
