H.R. 8418
The Know Your Labor Rights Act would require employers to post notices informing employees about their rights under federal labor law, both in physical locations where employee notices are typically displayed and on company websites or electronic systems. The National Labor Relations Board would create the standard notice text and make it freely available to employers, and companies would also need to personally inform each new employee about these labor rights. Employers who fail to post the notices or notify new employees would face civil penalties of up to $500 per violation as determined by the Labor Board. The bill amends the National Labor Relations Act to establish these new notification requirements and enforcement mechanisms, making labor law protections more transparent to workers across the country.
