After the medal is awarded, it will be housed at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum for display and research, though the museum may loan it to other appropriate Holocaust commemoration locations upon request. The costs of creating the medal will be paid from the United States Mint Public Enterprise Fund, and the government may produce and sell duplicate bronze medals to cover expenses, with any proceeds returned to the fund.
