The Drug Deal Disclosure Act would require the Department of Health and Human Services to publicly release all documents, communications, contracts, and agreements between the federal government and drug manufacturers involving pricing deals entered into since January 20, 2025. The bill specifically targets "most favored nation" pricing agreements and related deals that include provisions for reduced drug prices based on international pricing, direct-to-consumer sales discounts, import duty exemptions, investments in the United States, special treatment in federal drug pricing programs, or other manufacturer incentives. The disclosure must occur within 30 days of the bill's enactment in a centralized, searchable, and downloadable format, with limited exceptions only for proprietary pricing information and legally protected confidential data. The bill names 17 specific drug manufacturers whose previously announced agreements would be subject to immediate disclosure, along with any future agreements meeting similar criteria. Within 90 days of completing the disclosures, the Congressional Budget Office and Government Accountability Office must jointly publish a report analyzing the economic and budgetary effects of the agreements, including cost savings by insurance type and impacts on Medicare, Medicaid, and health plan design.
