This bill directs the Secretary of Defense to establish one or more test and training corridors where the military can research, develop, and test small unmanned aircraft systems (drones) and technologies to counter them. The corridors will allow the Armed Forces to evaluate drone capabilities, counter-drone weapons and sensors, and test new ways to integrate equipment onto various unmanned platforms while reducing the time it takes to deploy new drone-related systems. The Secretary of Defense must work with relevant military departments to identify suitable locations across the country, assess whether existing military facilities can be used, and identify any regulatory, legal, or policy obstacles that might prevent such testing in the national airspace. Within 90 days of establishing a corridor, the Defense Secretary must notify Congress about the corridor's location, required funding and resources, and any agreements with other federal agencies needed to safely operate it. The bill does not specify a total funding amount or strict implementation deadline beyond the congressional notification requirement.
