Who's In the Race

Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) faces Republican Jason Clark and independent Samir Ezzeldin Witta in the Nov. 3 general election in Colorado's 6th District.

Crow has represented Colorado's 6th District since 2019, and before entering Congress, he served three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne Division and the 75th Ranger Regiment and worked as an attorney.

Clark is an entrepreneur and small-business owner in Aurora who graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1992 and served in the Army from 1988 to 1995. Witta is an oncologist based in Cherry Hills.

What They Stand For

Crow has proposed capping health-care costs and saving families money on coverage, according to his official House website. He's also supported:

  • Making the economy work for working families by addressing the costs of health care, housing, and groceries,
  • Gun-violence prevention,
  • Cracking down on dark money in politics and strengthening ethics rules.

Clark says rent, education, and health-care costs are unsustainable for too many Coloradans, according to his campaign website. He also calls for:

  • Reducing crime, including targeting criminal activity and cleaning up Colfax Avenue.

Witta is an oncologist based in Cherry Hills, according to a Denver Post candidate profile, and no policy positions could be found for him.

The Money Behind the Race

Through June 30, Crow had raised about $3.2 million and had about $2.7 million in the bank, according to Federal Election Commission filings; Clark's FEC receipts were not reported, so no comparison is available for his fundraising.
