Who's In the Race
Rep. Brian Jack (R-GA) faces Democrat Maura Keller in the Nov. 3 general election in Georgia's 3rd District. The contest is a rematch: Jack defeated Keller in 2024, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Under Georgia law, a candidate must win a majority of votes to claim the seat; if no one does, a runoff follows.
Jack has served as U.S. representative for Georgia's 3rd District since 2025 and, before Congress, worked as the principal liaison between congressional Republicans and President Trump. He ran unopposed in the Republican primary, drawing 87,616 votes.
Keller is a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel with 26 years of service and a former VA health worker. She won the Democratic primary with about 61 percent of the vote over George Johnson.
What They Stand For
Jack's official House website lists the economy, education, energy and health as issue areas, though specific policy positions were not detailed on the accessible pages.
Keller has proposed making it easier for veterans to access VA care and removing logistical hurdles to treatment plans, according to her campaign website. She has also supported:
- Funding programs that address food insecurity,
- Opposing reductions in federal health-care support; and
- Restoring assistance that makes Affordable Care Act coverage more affordable, according to The Citizen.
The Money Behind the Race
Brian Jack, a Republican, had raised about $2 million as of June 30 and held about $1.1 million in cash. Maura Keller had about $151,000 in total receipts through June 30, with about $88,000 in cash on hand and about $26,000 in debt.
